Mataro has a long history in the Barossa Valley, mostly used in blends to add richness to wines. We selected the best barrel for this reserve wine because we felt that it made a complete wine in its own right.
Black in colour, it has pronounced plum, spice and coffee oak aromas. The medium to full bodied palate is rich, complex and supple, with plum and savoury fruit flavours that represent this variety so well. A delicious accompaniment to any occasion.
