2018 Monteperle Grenache Shiraz Mataro
This Monteperle GSM is masterfully made to consist flavours of spice and deep red amber.
The nose is overwhelmed with scents of ripe raspberries, plums and sweet spices of vanilla. The dense, mouth-filling mid palate is filled with vibrant flavours of vanilla complemented by smooth and delicious fine-grained tannins. Some nice sweet cedar adds complexity to the palate. The long, textural finish is combined to create a wine that has powerful yet balanced taste.
48% Grenache adds spice and sweetness to the ripe plum
39% Shiraz adds the generous mouthfeel black pepper and spiciness
13% Mataro is the backbone and fragrance
